Wandering Falcons / Wandering Images. Falconry as Diplomatic Image Vehicle

 

One of the main questions addressed in this talk will be how falcons have been exchanged for diplomatic purposes around the globe during the pre-Modern era and, above all, how their visual representation triggered encounters or was highly effective in political interactions.
