From Dissertation to Publication

In this presentation, Kate Wahl will discuss the overall publishing process from an editor’s perspective. She will also share tips on pitfalls to avoid during the process, qualities of a good book proposal, and more.

At Stanford University Press, Wahl is Editor-in-Chief and Publishing Director. She acquires books in Middle East Studies and anthropology, edits the series 'Stanford Studies in Comparative Race and Ethnicity,' and develops general interest books for the press’s trade imprint, Redwood Press.
